Month-long closure to start at end of month, materials due on March 27

Renovations to the town’s Community Library, 300 Eagle Lane, within the new Reynolds Middle School building, are set to start at the end of the month and continue until early May, according to Town Librarian Linda Shaw.

“Starting on Sunday, March 28 and continuing through to Wednesday, May 5, the library will be closed to the public. During this time period, there will be no access to library books, videos, computers or any other materials due to the planned renovation of the building,” she said.

The building is being readied for use as the new middle school, and the renovation work on the library is part of that process. The work is so extensive that it prevents any safe use of the building by the public.

“We’ve set Saturday, March 20 as the last day that registered borrowers may check out materials. Those borrowed materials, along with any others still out on loan, are due back to the library on Saturday, March 27,” asaid Shaw.

Any books, videos or other material still outstanding after March 27 will be considered overdue, and subject to fines.

Doors will reopen at 1 p.m. on May 6. All programs will resume their normal schedule, including Preschool Story Time which will restart at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12.

“We certainly regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we look forward to a new, more accessible library facility,” she said. Questions can be directed to Town Librarian Linda Shaw at 469-219-2499 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
