The Center for Nonprofit Management is now accepting applications for the 2010 Dallas Blueprint for Leadership program.  The deadline for applications is March 1 by 5 p.m.

The Dallas Blueprint for Leadership program provides extensive training for people of diverse cultural backgrounds in board leadership and the nonprofit sector and prepares them for board service.  Upon completion of the training, graduates are systematically matched with nonprofit agencies for board service for an elected or appointed term.  The program consists of 42 hours of training in areas such as an overview of the nonprofit sector; mission, vision and values; legal and fiduciary responsibilities; nonprofit fundraising; and soft skills like conflict resolution and cultural relevancy and examination.

The Dallas Blueprint for Leadership program was born out of a need for nonprofits to increase the diversity of their boards of directors.  To date, more than 225 culturally diverse board members have graduated from the program and have gone on to serve on boards of local nonprofits.

First consideration will be given to completed and timely applications. Prospective candidates will be contacted for a mandatory interview.  If selected to participate in this program, there will be a course fee of $500 due at or before Orientation.

The application for the Blueprint program is available at http://www.cnmdallas.org/blueprint_info.aspx. Applications with supporting documentation will be accepted though March 1.  For more information regarding the Blueprint for Leadership program, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
