The newest Knowledge is Power (KIP) lecture weighs in on cancer research and prevention. The 10th KIP lecture is set from 1 to 2 p.m., April 21, at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center, 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco. The presentation is titled, “An Ounce of Prevention or a Pound of Cure? The Current Stage of Cancer Research and Policy.” The faculty presenters are Candace Belanger, professor of biology, and Sonia Iwanek, professor of political science.
The event is free and open to the public. A question-and-answer session will follow the lecture. The Knowledge is Power lecture series pairs professors from different academic arenas into one discussion about a topic relevant in global current issues.
